Originally located just a few miles east of its current home with just 4,300 sq. ft. the Thrift Store / Donation Center moved to 7000 Grand River Road in November of 2007. As the first occupant of the brand new 25,000 sq. ft. site, The Salvation Army experienced enough support from the community to warrant expanding the store to 31,424 sq. ft. just one year later. Its 49 employees are assisted by 7 ARC Program beneficiaries. This store features 7 fitting rooms, easy access to parking and a convenient donation drop off center at the rear of the building.

Comments:
I am always impressed with the turnover of furniture and new goods I find. Brand names are abundant and the store is well organized and merchandised. Great parking and safe environment.
The Brighton store gets a great variety of items and the prices are fair. The staff is pleasant and works hard. I feel fortunate to have one of the best SA stores as my local thrift shop. keep up the good work!!
I have been to this store several times and have never seen it dirty. The staff is constantly on the floor keeping the racks and and clothing neat. The staff have always been pleasant and helpful.
I was into the Brighton MI store on June 14. I was appaled at how dirty and messy it was. There was junk stacked everywhere. The jewlery counter was covered and the glass cases were empty. The clothing was all over the floor and stuck on racks. And the prices have gone up too much. I bought a few books and left. And to top it all off, I was rung out wrong. It will be a long time befor I go back.
