I love this store. I bought clothes for all five of my kids and spent less than 140.00...Wow!! They had kids week and I got them all for 50% off!!What a deal. I am a single mom and would never had been able to go to the mall and spend hundreds on school clothes. I also found backpacks for 3.99 each. Very friendly atmosphere. Very reasonably priced. Going back for sure...Thank You Salvation Army!!!
I love Salvation Army in general but there are simply too many clothes. The clothes are jammed on the racks so much that you can\'t move them apart to view they easily. I get fed up and frustrated after about 15 minutes of this when I would normally do about a 2 hour trip buying up things for our family. I had asked a salesperson why this occurs and she commented that they are required to put out 3000 new pieces of clothing DAILY....that is ludicrous. I know you are a business as well but make it pleasing for your shopper. A ton of selection without a ton of space is not good.
My experience at this location was very pleasing. I have three teenagers and I am constantly buying them clothes. Last week was my first time at the St Clair Shores store and I bought a lot of clothes for my kids! The prices were reasonable for some really good brands. That and their Friendly cashiers will keep me coming back!
While skimming through clothes on the aisle racks, I was literally attacked by a middle aged woman of color who yelled at me that shopping from those racks was NOT ALLOWED because those clothes had not been assigned to their proper location. I have never had this treatment at ANY other Salvation Army before or since. This person needs to be fired, she is a detriment to the whole purpose of the Salvation Army. As for the store, it is usually overpriced and lacking for quality items. Not worth your time unless you like dealing with crazy people.
