This flagship store was opened in September of 2008 at the site of a former ‘Media Play’ store in the Northpointe Shopping Plaza, and replacing a smaller Salvation Army Thrift Store which had been in Utica (on Van Dyke) since 2003.  At 49,248 sq. ft. the new site over twice the size of the ‘original’ Utica store, and the largest Salvation Army Thrift Store in the United States.  Located in an area of growth, it offers to the financially diverse community a huge selection of  high quality goods, 10 fitting rooms and a convenient donation drop off site at the east side of the building.  It provides employment for 50 people who are assisted daily by 6 ARC program beneficiaries.
