Opened in October 2005 in what was formerly a used book store which also sub-let space to a small thrift store.  Now occupied completely by The Salvation Army, the 33,616 sq. ft. site is one of our more ‘green’ sites, featuring concrete floors and a gravel parking lot directly adjacent to the store.  Built originally as an industrial site, air conditioning was added as a customer comfort in the spring of 2008.  The open floor plan features high, open ceilings and 10 fitting rooms.  Located close to the U of M campus it serves students and local families, as well as bargain hunters of all kinds.  This location provides employment for 35 people who are assisted regularly by 8 ARC Program beneficiaries and 2 volunteers.
